Happy Birthday, Daddy
It’s my father’s 21st birthday today, for the 60th time. 🙂
I know he’s reading this as he reads all my blogs, bless his heart.
I saw my mom’s memorial plaque yesterday. It is so final. At first, I wanted everything to be a bad dream I would wake up from. Time has passed and it is real. I miss her. I talk to her every day. Life moves forward.
So many wonderful things have happened in the the last couple of months that I don’t want to go backwards. I think that’s G-d’s way of making sure we keep moving forward.
My children are in their second week at Midtown International – and it is absolutely wonderful. I had my first official school librarian day last Friday when I had back to back classes coming in and checking out books. Amazing. (Also, quite draining, but well worth all the effort of working with these great kids!)
In moving forward – sometimes we stumble, sometimes we fall, sometimes we merely pause for breath.
Thank you for the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. I’m still working on all those things, as I move forward.
